"Ethan owns an art gallery and Kelly teaches art to young children. He comes to the school to ask if he can set up a display of pieces the children will do. He asks Kelly to partner with him for the setup at the gallery and they steadily grow closer. A few art gallery break-ins set everyone on edge. They find out someone from her past is after her and the danger comes closer than they like. The characters are well developed and the backstories add some depth. The storyline was believable with plenty to keep you glued to the pages. Drama, danger, cute kids, art, parents with issues, twists, revelations, and more. Great chemistry and banter along with a terrific ending."

All is going well until incidents started to happen to Kelly and the realization that someone was out to get her. Will Ethan and his resources be able to keep her safe. This intriguing story had me all caught up in in it from start to finish."

"Tempting My Billionaire Boss by Zoey Appleton is a slower-paced (or it was for me) steamy billionaire romance with layers of plotlines tied to these two characters. Zoey does a great job of building this world, the characters, and the challenges they face and keeping you guessing on what is in store for these two. I admit I ADORE the FML. She is someone relatable to me, someone also in the art world, even if she is more fine arts. I love her passion for the things she loves and the level of effort she gives things she does even if it isn't her goal in life, and she will likely feel relatable even to those not in the art world. I did not like the ML, and I was super bummed about it, but don't let that keep you away. He does have a lot of delicious tropes; I just felt like sometimes he gave more jerk than grumpy and had a lot of mystery tied to him. If you want a grey romance not fully dark and you want a book you can dig into and spend more than a day or so even if you are a fast reader, grab this one up."

"Zoey Appleton has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Kelly and Ethan. Kelly teaches art to young children. Ethan is the owner of an art gallery. One afternoon, Kelly is in her office getting ready to leave for the day when her boss, Mrs. Walters, knocks on her door and walks in, followed by a man Kelly doesn’t know. Mrs. Walters asks Kelly to stay a little longer because there is someone she wants her to meet. She introduces the man as Mr. Ethan Blackwood, the owner of a prestigious art gallery in the city. Mr. Blackwood explains that he is looking for top students to produce original pieces of art for a show he is putting on for young artists. They talk for a few minutes, and Ethan says he would like to come back the next day to talk with Kelly and her students about the opportunity. He suggests either having individual pieces created or, since her students are younger, working on a collaborative project. Kelly thinks it’s a wonderful idea and believes her students will be thrilled to have their work displayed in a gallery. After meeting with Kelly and her students the next day, Ethan asks Kelly to dinner so they can discuss the opportunity further. He takes her to the gallery and shows her around. While there, he offers her a job helping him get the gallery ready to open, and she accepts. As they work together, Kelly and Ethan grow closer and begin seeing each other. Things take a turn when the gallery is broken into one night while Kelly is there alone. Ethan later discovers that his gallery isn’t the only one targeted, but he can’t get much information. He is given the name of the detective working the case. As preparations for the gallery opening continue, the gallery is broken into again, and all of Kelly’s paintings are stolen. On opening night, Kelly is shocked to see her parents at the gallery. She hasn’t spoken to them in quite some time. Ethan supports her and offers to take them out to dinner. At first, dinner goes well, but Kelly’s mother begins questioning her relationship with Ethan. Ethan explains that Kelly is his partner in the gallery and that they are taking things slowly. Kelly’s mother is unhappy with their relationship. Later, Kelly has a heart-to-heart talk with her mother and learns that her parents’ marriage isn’t as happy as she thought. Her mother is still hurt over her father’s past affair. Overwhelmed, Kelly takes some time off to think—and during that time, she discovers she is pregnant. Knowing that Ethan has a son he doesn’t see often, she worries about how he will react. When she finally tells him, Ethan is happy about the baby and promises to keep both Kelly and the child safe. Ethan eventually hears back from the detective and schedules a meeting. The detective asks if Kelly will be there, explaining that he will need to speak with her. At the meeting, the detective asks if there is anyone from their past who might want to hurt them. Kelly tells him about an accident she was in years earlier and names the other driver, Daniel Forsythe. Daniel blames Kelly for everything that went wrong in his life. After the accident, he lost his wife, his home, and his job due to his drinking and a DUI. He believes that if Kelly is gone, all his problems will disappear. One day, Ethan notices someone looking into the gallery window. When he calls out, the person runs. Ethan follows and ends up in an alley, where he realizes the man is Daniel. Daniel attacks Ethan, knocks him out, and shoots him, believing he has killed him. He then goes to Kelly’s apartment to wait for her, only to find the locks have been changed. He plans another way to lure her home. Kelly receives an alert on her phone that someone is at her apartment, and she and Ethan call the police. The police arrive and arrest Daniel. When the police later inform Ethan of what happened, Kelly tells him she will never return to her apartment. Can Kelly and Ethan find their way back to the normal life they want together? This was a wonderful book, and I would recommend it to anyone."
